Our assistants’ role is to provide a pleasant and stress-free environment for patients while working alongside our dentists and team to achieve the best possible treatment according to each patient’s needs. We are particularly attentive to patients who are nervous about coming to the dentist and do whatever we can to make them as comfortable as possible. All our assistants are certified by the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB).
Courtney – Certified Dental Assistant Level II
Courtney is our senior dental assistant. She joined our team in 2010 shortly after graduating the Everest College Dental Assisting Program. She plays multiple roles in our dental team and along with creating a pleasant and stress-free environment to our patients working alongside our dentists; she is responsible for the submission of predeterminations to insurance as well as proper management of dental products and inventory. She is dedicated to Health and Safety in the dental environment and is aptly designated our H. & S. Representative.
Courtney is a wonderful wife and dedicated to her dog Bailey. She spends her spare time decorating, remodeling, and traveling.
Courtney is passionate about working with people and making them smile. Growing up on Prince Edward Island she comes to us with a vivacious sense of humour putting the “weariest souls” at ease. Her expertise will allow our dentists to perform treatments efficiently and ensure every need of our patient is thoroughly addressed.
Amanda – Certified Dental Assistant Level II
Amanda graduated the Everest College Dental Assisting Program in 2011, and joined our dental family shortly after.
Amanda is an avid lover of country living. She is currently enjoying raising a wonderful toddler with her husband.
Amanda looks forward to providing a welcoming and friendly environment to our patients and making sure your visit is a relaxed and pleasant one.
Jeannette – Certified Dental Assistant Level II
Being a patient of Dr. Ohanian, Jeannette was very familiar with our dental practice and was inspired by her to go into the dental field. She started her clinical training in our office as a dental assistant student from Everest College in 2012 and joined us upon successful completion of her National Dental Assistant Board Examinations in July 2013.
She was born in Santiago, Chile and has spent more of her life in Canada. She is married with two wonderful children. She loves to spend time at the cottage with family and friends, boating, fishing and kayaking.
Jeannette comes to us with a background in health care previously working as a personal support worker (PSW). These qualities allow her to care for our patients on an individualized basis while addressing their concerns and needs with ease and understanding.
